Day 1: Arrive / Ashford Castle

Arrive in beautiful Ireland to begin your charming vacation! Classic Travel starts your trip by treating you to a stay at Virtuoso’s Hotel of the Year 2015, Ashford Castle. This gorgeous 13th century castle overlooks Lough Corrib Lake and 350 acres of lush green Irish parkland and is outfitted with all of the modern luxuries. Spend your first day enjoying the castle’s activities such as falconry, clay pigeon shooting, and golf. Enjoy a delicious dinner of upscale Irish cuisine in the George V Dining Room to end your first day in Ireland.

Day 2: Ashford Castle

Start your day in Country Mayo with a scrumptious Irish Breakfast. Take a short walk to the village of Cong to shop, eat, and soak in the atmosphere of a true Irish village. Then spend the afternoon at Galway City, located thirty minutes from Ashford Castle and known as one of the best small harbor cities in Ireland. Finish touring the gorgeous harbor and head back to Ashford Castle for a truly memorable dinner thanks to Chef Stefan Matz.


Day 3: Killarney Park Hotel

Begin your third day in Ireland with a scenic drive throughout Western Ireland to get to the beautiful Killarney Park Hotel, where you will spend the next four nights. Check into the hotel and spend your first day exploring the town of Killarney, filled with delicious food, colorful exteriors, and cute Irish shops. Return to the private grounds of the hotel for a relaxing dinner at The Park restaurant.

Day 4: Killarney Park Hotel

Enjoy the great outdoors with a special day in the Killarney National Park. Noted as a true natural beauty, the landscape of the Killarney National Park is perfect for a picturesque hike with wonderful Irish landmarks. Spend the day hiking and make your way to Torc Waterfall, the Muckross Abbey, a famous historic abbey that is thought to be haunted, and Muckross House, a gorgeous 19th century mansion. Then find the best spots to see the famous trio of lakes in the park. Return to the hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening at your luxurious room.


Day 5: Killarney Park Hotel

Have another day in the Irish outdoors. Head to the UNESCO heritage site Skelling Michael, a large island once noted as a location for a centuries old monastery and iconic Irish lighthouses.  Then speak with your concierge and choose between three adventure options. You can head to Ross Castle for some kayaking fun, travel to the Gap of Dunloe for amazing rock climbing opportunities, or take an equestrian tour along the beach at Rossbeigh, just outside the Ring of Kerry.


Day 6: Killarney Park Hotel

Spend your final day at the Killarney Park Hotel with a tour throughout the Ring of Kerry. Gaze in awe at the sites along the Iveragh Peninsula as you head along the coast to experience the sites in the charming town of Waterville and Kenmare, a well-known heritage town near the Ring of Beara. Return from your gorgeous tour and relax at the golf course or the exquisite Killarney Park Hotel spa.


Day 7: The Merrion

Awaken the next morning fresh and ready for your scenic drive to Dublin. Once your arrive, check in and choose from a plethora of activities to enjoy in your Dublin afternoon. Attractions the Merrion include Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the National Gallery of Ireland, and the famous Trinity College Library featuring the Book of Kells. Then enjoy your evening with a couple of drinks around the Temple Bar location and relax at your gorgeous formally decorated rooms at The Merrion.

Day 8: Belmond Grand Hibernian

Take leave of the beautiful Merrion and head for Heuston station to embark on the luxurious Belmond Grand Hiberniantrain. Partake in your afternoon tea as your train rolls through the Irish countryside, heading towards Northern Ireland’s Belfast. Once your arrive in Belfast, enjoy a private tour of the Titanic Experience. End your evening with wonderful entertainment aboard the train.


Day 9: Belmond Grand Hibernian

As your train rolls through Northern Ireland, sample a delicious breakfast prepared for you by the Belmond staff. Arrive a few hours later and prepare for a fun outdoor day. Make your way to the Giant’s Causeway, a famous natural landmark of gorgeous basalt columns, then head on over to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Afterwards, visit the Old Bushmills Distillery for some amazing Irish whiskey. Return to the train for dinner and a local music performance as you head on back to Dublin.


Day 10: Departure

Return to Dublin after your delicious breakfast on the Belmond Grand Hibernian. After you disembark savor the last few moments of your time in Ireland as you make your way to the airport to return home.
