Itinerary

DAY 1 –
Arrive in Danang. You will be met either at the entrance to the overhead bridge connected to plane or at the entrance to the terminal. After they assist you through immigration and baggage claim to the exit, a guide will meet you and take you by vehicle to InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.

DAY 2 –
Morning is for leisure.
You will be taken by vehicle from hotel to Hoi An for an architectural walking tour. A local expert will give you an insider’s guide to life and architecture of the town. You will take a stroll among the beautiful temples, pagodas, and ancient homes that display a unique blend of local and foreign influences. You will also see some of the most significant places including the Fujian temple, an old merchant’s house, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda.
Later in the evening, you will immerse yourself in the sparkling Hoi An old town. As the boat slowly sails along the river, you will drop lanterns into the river and wish for good things. The boat trip becomes splendid with thousands of lanterns on the Haoi river.
You will depart from Hoi An old town by vehicle back to the hotel.

DAY 3 –
You will go on an excursion to the Imperial Citadel in the heart of Hue. The 19th-century complex was modelled after the Forbidden City of Peking, with 10 km walls and a wide moat, but most of the buildings were destroyed in the Vietnam War. The remaining monuments provide a glimpse into the life of the Nguyen Dynasty. You will pass the striking Flag Tower to the imposing Ngo Mon Gate, and enter the courtyards with lotus ponds. Sights to visit are the Dien Tho Residence (where the Queen mother lived), the Thai Hoa Palace, the magnificently decorated reception hall, the Halls of the Mandarins, the original Nine Dynastic Urns, and the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum.
Later, you will visit the countryside around Hue to the Imperial Tomb of Tu Duc, the longest reigning Vietnamese emperor. Take some time to soak in the tranquil atmosphere, wandering among the gracefully proportioned pavilions, courtyards, and lotus ponds. After, visit the Imperial Tomb of Khai Dinh, the last of the monumental tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, located on a hillside.

DAY 4 –
Arrive at Danang Airport by vehicle. After arriving in Bangkok, you will be met by a representative at the arrival gate or terminal platform. You will be taken through the fast lane immigration counter and then assisted with baggage claim and customs. A representative will be waiting at the exit to drive you to Banyan Tree Bangkok.

DAY 5 –
Visit two must-see sights: The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, a giant lying Buddha covered in a gold leaf, and the Grand Palace, an ancient Siamese court located near the Chao Phraya River, which you will then travel on. You can pay to see the majestic shrine Wat Arun, one of the most photographed sights in Bangkok. (Please note that proper attire is required: no bare shoulders or knees and no strapless heeled shoes. Shoes must be removed before entering all temple buildings.) Afternoon is for leisure.

DAY 6 –
Arrive at Bangkok Airport by vehicle. Fly to Koh Samui Airport and transfer to the Banyan Tree Samui by vehicle.

DAY 7 –
All day at leisure.
Take optional tour of Angthong National Marine Park. Meet your guide at 07:00 hrs. to start your tour consisting of snorkeling among abundant marine life and kayaking through unique limestone formations. The tour allows a chance to see the beautiful park, consisting of 42 islands, and to climb to the viewpoint and visit a stunning lagoon hidden on the island. Return to the hotel by 17:00 hrs.
OR take optional island tour that meets at 09:00 hrs. Tour highlights include the Big Budda Temple, the Plai Laem Temple, Lad Koh Viewpoint, coconut plantation, Grandmother, Grandfather Rock (Hinta hinyai), the Wat Kunaram Temple, Namuang Waterfalls, and a local walking street market. You’ll get the chance to experience local culture and sample a delicious array of Thai food and fruits during lunch. Return to the hotel at 17:00 hrs.

DAY 8 –
Take vehicle from Banyan Tree Samui to the Koh Samui Airport for flight to Phuket. Arrive at Phuket Airport and go to Banyan Tree Phuket by vehicle.

DAY 9 –
All day at leisure.
Take optional tour of Phang Nga Bay & Khai Island. Tour leaves from hotel at 08:00 hrs. and takes a speed boat from the pier at Royal Phuket Marina to Phang Nga Bay, passing Panak and Hong Island. You will explore the islands in canoes, visiting Koh Tapu, known as James Bond Island, passing Tham Lod Noi and Lod Yai through the Mangroves swamp. You will enjoy lunch at Koh Panyi, a Muslim village built on pillars, before departing to Khai Nai Island Relax to snorkel and sunbathe. You will then return to the pier and transfer back to your hotel by 17:00 hrs.
OR choose the Phuket City Tour. You have the option of leaving the hotel at 09:00 hrs. and returning at 13:00 hrs., or leaving at 13:00 hrs. and returning at 17:00 hrs. You will visit the following sights: the viewpoint at the renowned Promthep Cape, the sea Gypsy Village at Rawai Beach, the Big Buddha on Nakerd Hill with a stunning view, the beautiful Chalong Temple, and century-old Sino-Portuguese building along Dee-book road and Talang Road. The tour also includes visiting a cashew-nut factory and a fabulous gem gallery before returning to the hotel.

DAY 10 –
Take vehicle from Banyan Tree Phukey to the Phuket Airport.
