San Domenico Palace Hotel
Due to refurbishment project, the hotel will remain closed for the 2018 Season. However, our two star Michelin Restaurant Principe Cerami will re-open from May 15th until September 30th. Hotel reopening in 2019-dates TBA.
The San Domenico Palace Hotel is situated in Taormina’s historic centre. Even the air of the San Domenico Hotel is redolent with the unique history of the surroundings. Built around a monastery dating from the year 1400, with the original structure still intact, it is surrounded by a garden filled all year round with flowers of rare beauty. The view that can be enjoyed from the terrace and the pool is extraordinary, too: a panorama which embraces the ancient Greek theatre and Etna’s misty peak.
Diners in the ground-floor “Les Bougainvillées” restaurant can take in the spectacular view of Taormina bay and the ancient Greek theatre whilst enjoying its creative Mediterranean cuisine. In the shady pergola of the pool side restaurant, guests can savour Sicilian dishes, fresh fish and carefully selected wines. The San Domenico bar, at the entrance to the restaurants, is the perfect spot for drinks and cocktails in a hospitable atmosphere, accompanied by the musical melodies of our pianist.
Guest services include Car hire with or without driver, transfer to and from airport, free parking, secretarial services, theatre and excursion tickets, central or private safe, dry cleaning and laundry services, ironing service and shoe-cleaning. The swimming pool in the spacious flower garden is open from April to October. An area inside the hotel with gymnastic equipment is provided for physical exercise.
