Built in 1870 and refurbished in 1912, history permeates the atmosphere of this restrained Art Nouveau building where famous author Axel Munthe, the doctor and allegedly lover of Sweden's Queen Victoria, was a long-time resident. The old brick building, with its industrial windows and architecture reminiscent of Josef Hoffman's work, has been fondly preserved.
