The Reverie Saigon
The Reverie Saigon is the newest luxury hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Don’t expect a sense of place as you may imagine it to be. To say it’s over the top is an understatement. This is the new Ho Chi Minh City. When you first enter you may well ponder if there is any marble left in Italy. You might think Donatella Versace had something to do with the decorations or that surely Liberace has been reincarnated and is the resident pianist. If you impose a scale of 1 to 10, it’s a 10 in the outrageous decoration category. However, all is overlooked as it’s also a 10 in the service category. Soon you will be marveling at the decoration and maybe wondering why there’s not a Reverie Hotel in Las Vegas.
The rooms take it down a notch and here no expense was spared to create a modern luxury hotel room, most with grand views of the city and the Saigon River through floor to ceiling windows. In fact, the rooms are the largest of any in HCMC and all have sumptuous baths with double sinks, showers and tubs. Again, marble everywhere but here it’s all one color and stunning.
The location maybe one of the best as prime business, hospitals and famous landmarks are all in this area. The Spa is quite large and offers a multitude of services at very reasonable rates. The latest techno-gym fitness equipment is in place as well. There are five restaurants and make sure you go down for breakfast. That room is a show-stopper and you’ll remember it and for a long time.
The Reverie maintains a fleet of Mercedes-Benz S Class, Bentley, and Rolls Royce Phantoms. Book a transfer from the airport. It may very well be the best you’ve ever experienced. As soon as you identify yourself to their representative outside baggage you are whisked to the stunning colt blue Mercedes (if you booked that). No expense was spared on the interior of the cars either and that new car leather smell permeates the air. Naturally, you’re offered chilled water and cooling towels. Wi-Fi in all the cars is excellent. The traffic in Ho Chi Minh City can be grueling. You won’t mind a bit!
