The Chatwal New York
Broadway has a new hit! When you enter The Chatwal Hotel in New York’s theatre district you may think you've been beamed back in time to the 1920’s and that you’re on the art deco set of “the” sophisticated Broadway show of the moment. Where you are is in the lobby of one of New York’s most innovative and exciting new hotels. While new hotels are competing to be the most trendy “downtown” or the most exclusive “uptown” place to stay in the city, only hotelier Sant Chatwal has produced a hit for “The Great White Way” The Chatwal is that and Broadway’s only boutique luxury hotel.
This beautiful landmark hotel built in 1905 by Stanford White has been restored and renewed by master architect Thierry Despont, re-launched in 2010. The Chatwal’s 76 keys include stunning Penthouse Suites with designer terraces. Several of the themed suites have large, landscaped, furnished terraces. Expertly appointed guestrooms draw inspiration from glamorous, early 20th-century travel, each featuring built-in cabinets wrapped in faux leather resembling beautiful pieces of classic luggage. The walls are upholstered in luxurious ultra-suede and baths are clad in bands of tinted mirror. Every room features custom furniture designed by Despont.
The glam 90 seat restaurant is over looked by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian (formerly of La Cirque and 21 Club). We are certain that there will always be an overflow from The Bar at the Lamb’s Club. This dramatically theatrical eye-popping bar has already been discovered and is certainly the place to have a cocktail before, after or at theatre intermission (the show could be better here). The hotel looks down on the entrance hall and the street with 20 foot windows.
Red Door Spa by Elizabeth Arden inside The Chatwal, New York is a sanctuary oasis for both overnight guests and savvy Manhattanites alike, designed to deeply relax in an intimate setting. Enjoy the full amenities of the spa complete with a fitness center, infinity saltwater lap pool, private changing suites with steam showers, and a relaxation lounge with spa aperitifs.pedicure studio.
Hotel Amenities: • The House Car, a Mercedes-Benz E350 (20-block radius) • Butler service including complimentary steaming, pressing and shoe shine

Old style New York with Modern twist
I enjoyed couple of drinks at Chatwal Hotel last night. It was a perfect evening filled with elegance and romance. The room was technologically from the future and the suede walls and leather covered closet doors gave the room old style New York with a modern twist. There was a television in the bathroom mirror, the shower was completely customizable, and the toilet came with a remote control and heated seat. The mini bar looked full with treats and cocktail mixers of the favorite kind. The interesting part in bath room was suite case amenity box underneath the vanity. That was lovely idea! I recommend people who are a smoker its great because they offer rooms with a private terrace and also in the Barrymore Suite there is beautiful glass stair to reach private roof deck which has nice view.
