Stonewater Cove Resort & Spa

The property began a little over a decade ago with the first sketch of the main lodge that faces directly into the West over the lake and forest.  The resort was built from scratch on a nearly 500 acre property that is surrounded by thousands of acres of the Mark Twain National Forest and Piney Creek Wilderness Area.  In the heart of the Ozark Mountains and old river-valley lands of SW Missouri; the core property and rooms sit just feet from the water's edge, along the "quiet side" or the James River arm of Table Rock Lake (a large lake with ~900 miles of shoreline where 3 rivers were dammed together back in the 1950's).  It is a very remote, unspoiled part of the forest, on a lake that is owned and protected by the Army Corps of Engineers; and is one of the cleanest freshwater lakes in the world; world renowned for bass fishing.  Our dense forest, "off the beaten path" location is near enough to Branson for convenient travel to the resort or perhaps a day-trip to Silver Dollar City amusement park; but far enough from any city or tourist destination that the purity and remoteness of the forest is palpable.  Every nook and cranny of the resort has been integrated with the surrounding nature; from the polished driftwood furniture, hardwood floors, and custom wood work in every building made from stones and fallen trees of the forest.

Structurally, the resort hosts endless gardened walking paths and over 25 miles of hiking trails that center around a lakeside main lodge (which includes the dining room, lounge, bar area, pool, hot tub, gardens, waterfalls, grand campfire, and a media room for movies and games).  Stonewater Cove also has a 12-slip boat dock, a swim dock (or "lake pool"), our unique "tower-less" zip line experience with five nearly 1,000 ft each zip lines that run criss-cross over the back of the cove and forest canopy, an ATV trail network much like the green, blue, and black diamond runs of the great American ski resorts - but for forest mountain ATV'ing!, a fleet of top of the line watercraft for taking guests on guided boat rides and water sport excursions on the lake, two nearby marinas and private boat slips available for guests to rent their own boats to drive (including pontoons, fishing boats, and power boats), a private boat ramp to bring your own boat, a Lakeview Boardroom and Lodge Conference Room for meetings retreats (up to 36 separate rooms available total), an outdoor/covered Lakeshore Pavilion and outdoor Sunset Terrace for Weddings and special occasions; plus lakeside cabins with 27 total studios and suites and a maximum capacity of about 60/80 guests with full rental of the resort property or private-exclusive use.

Most importantly, the property has a plethora of both adventurous and active endeavors to embark upon and explore for all levels of skill and energy, then a staff to make sure you feel like you have your concierge and/or activity guide available to you at all times, and yet still so many cozy and beautiful places to just lounge and soak in the tranquil and invigorating forest & lake environment (benches, rocking chairs, terraces, pavilions, gazebos, cairn-filled lake spots, sitting rocks in the forest, and babbling creeks).  Whether you want to be active or "lazy" (or a mix of both) on the perfect "nature" vacation... guests can find that enchanted balance for themselves and everyone in a larger group too, the whole time.
