Located just 20 minutes by boat from shore, on the tip of Viti Levu, Fiji, Dolphin Island nestles like a precious jewel, surrounded by crystal-clear waters. Following arrival at Nadi International Airport, guests can travel for 2.5 hours by private car (included within tariff), or choose to transfer by float plane or helicopter to Dolphin Island. The island's own private boat will then transfer guests to their own private island retreat where on arrival, they will be immediately enveloped by the beauty and luxurious accommodation that awaits.
The main bure, with its fabulous traditional palm-thatched roof and architecturally detailed elevation holds centre court, with a pair of equally picturesque guest bure suites sitting to each side in perfect harmony. This group of buildings are at one with the landscape and every aspect of their design ensures perfect enjoyment of the island’s nurturing and lush natural landscape.
Families travelling with children of all ages are welcomed warmly on Dolphin Island, where they can play and roam free in a place with no cars and no wildlife dangers.
Our warm and friendly Fijian staff adore children and will ensure the younger members of your family have a wonderful stay on Dolphin Island. Children’s menus can be created especially to ensure lots of delicious treats are always on hand. They are also available for babysitting, should this be required.
Meals are delicious and feature fresh produce, with many flavors and ingredients unique to Fijian cuisine. Freshly caught fish is brought to the island daily so guests can select their preference from the catch and it will be beautifully prepared and served to them within hours. Tropical fruit abounds – papayas, mangoes, bananas, pineapples etc and the fragrance of perfumed flowers is carried on the air.
With 14-acres of private island as a playground guests often do not feel the need to ever leave, however should they choose to – a wonderful variety of experiences are available. Aquatic adventures abound, with warm, clear waters and coral reefs providing the perfect habitat for amazing marine life. Guests can snorkel, tank dive, sail, kayak, swim and fish with carefully selected operators whose local knowledge is invaluable. Water Sports involving waterskiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, kitesurfing and jet skiing are readily available. Cultural visits to nearby villages, sightseeing and tours to areas of historical interest can be arranged, as can pampering massages and facials.
