Aman Spa at Amangiri:The Aman Spa at Amangiri is a 2,322-square metre (25,000-square feet) escape from the stresses of the outside world. As guests move from space to space within the Spa, their sense of discovery and peace echoes that of moving through the rock formations and canyons within the surrounding landscape. The entrance to the Spa is reminiscent of nearby slot canyons, and opens into an intimate reception and lounge area featuring a glass tiled sky-lit reflection pool and central fireplace. Leading off the reception are consultation rooms and a walkway opening to a private courtyard that in turn leads to either individual dressing rooms or a series of pavilions.Water Pavilion:A key feature of the Aman Spa is the Water Pavilion which offers Hydrotherapy treatments. Upon entry, the eye is immediately drawn towards large wooden doors which pivot to reveal an outside area containing a heated, stone-lined, step pool. Terraces rise on three sides, blending with the rock face and offering additional seating. The central reception has a large open area complete with fireplace and lounge seating. Beyond are showers, a sauna, a cold plunge pool and a sculpted steam room. Floatation Pavilion:Floatation therapy is a sensory treatment allowing guests to reach a depth of relaxation which takes many years to achieve with classical meditation techniques. Entry to the Floatation Pavilion is via a stone pathway leading across a reflection pool towards an open fireplace. The moulded floatation room utilizes colour therapy and is a meditative experience. Connected to the Floatation Pavilion is a private timber-screened open-air relaxation terrace with day bed and hot plunge pool for guests to enjoy after their treatment while reconnecting with their surroundings.Watsu Pool:The Watsu Pool is set within the rock face and provides views of the adjacent vertical rock formations. Here guests can experience a unique form of massage which is often described as ‘Shiatsu in water’. This deeply relaxing treatment combines water-based exercise, floatation, assisted stretching and dance in a pool of body-temperature water.Treatment Rooms & Outdoor Treatment Terraces:Five walnut-lined, candlelit Treatment Rooms (one double and four single) each feature a foyer, dressing area, treatment area, steam room and bathroom, as well as individual music systems. A range of massage, body treatments, hot stone and healing therapies are offered with accents of Native American wellness traditions. A variety of beauty services including depilation and signature facials are also on offer. Adjacent to the Treatment Rooms is a large reflection pool. Located at one end are two outdoor Treatment Terraces that enjoy sweeping views of the untouched valley. Please contact our Virtuoso Travel Advisor [email protected] for more details.
