Hotel Sacher Wien
Hotel Sacher Wien is situated opposite the Viennese State Opera in the heart of the century-old cultural and historical city and just a few minutes' walk from museums, the Hofburg, the Spanish Riding School and the famous Ringstrasse.
Hotel Sacher rooms and hallways fascinate with a collection of more than 1,000 antiques and original oil paintings. The property gleams with elegance.
Under enthusiastic management, the Sacher continues to improve. In 2002, it was totally shut down for a makeover in recognition of its 125th anniversary. Every room and suite was thoroughly refurbished.
Sacher Hotel has 108 rooms, seven banquet rooms, one bar, two cafes and two restaurants: Rote Bar & Restaurant is a vision in red and Anna Sacher, is done in an opulent greeen. Both offer the finest Austrian cuisine and international specialties.
Top Deluxe Rooms have been built relatively recently on top of the original hotel, and are loaded with luxurious features and furnishings that cannot fail to impress you.
Cafe Sacher is the home of the Original Sacher-Torte invented in 1832 by Franz Sacher. There’s no need to rush to the Sacher Cafe to sample the torte---mini tortes are provided in your room and it's also served at the breakfast buffet. All tourist attractions like the Opera House and St. Stephan’s Cathedral are within an easy walk from the hotel.
Hotel Sacher Wien is independently and privately owned. Perhaps, that is why the high level of personalized service is not duplicated in the other deluxe hotels of Vienna.
