Since opening in May 1997, the hotel has been greeted with rave reviews and sold out rooms.The tallest and most elegant Art Deco Hotel to grace Ocean Drive since its original opening in 1936, the Tides is once again the shining star of South Beach.It has been described as sophisti- cated, sedate and sumptuous in a contemporary atmosphere. Additional amenities at hotel: CD/radio player with selection of CDs, in room telescopes, VIP access to clubs, gift shop.They are currently making some improvements to thier hotel. The Tides South Beach lobby, Martini Bar, La Marea and La Marea Terrace are all fully renovated. Until late summer, guests will not have access to the pool and Coral Bar. They are also renovating 3 guest room floors during this time.
