The Marmara Bodrum sits on a high hill overlooking the city and the Aegean Sea. The views of both are dramatic; so much so that on arriving at the hotel it is difficult not to be mesmorized. It is not only the views that intrigue one but the decor of the public rooms which are absolutely stunning. Compared with the rest of the hotel the rooms are fairly conservative in their decor but never-the-less quite comfortable. All have balconies. The linens and other amenites are in keeping with the deluxe catagory that the hotel is. While larger hotels have opened in the area the Marmara has maintained a distinct charm and character that is hard to beat. We loved the health club, spa and authentic Turkish Bath. But most of all the close proximity to the town of Bodrum is great and after a hard night out it's wonderful to go up the hill and return to this very special hotel.
