The hotel was renovated in 1994 under the artistic direction of Karl Lagerfield, the leading fashion designer. It is located within its own garden in the beautiful and elegant Grunewald District. What it lacks in not being centrally located, it makes up for in its blissfully peaceful atmosphere. In the summer the terrace offers picturesque scenery of a 7,000 meter hotel park. Three historical banquet rooms lend themselves to meetings, dinners and receptions. Karl Lagerfield created every detail of the structure, from the stationary and china to each room and suite. All guest rooms are tastefully furnished with antique and period styles, but with modern accommodations including TV, two telephone lines, private fax, air conditioning, private safe and floor heating.
