The hotel is located in the center of the Old City, and situated close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Topkapi Palace. The Four Seasons Istanbul offers 65 guest rooms on four floors, and 348 hardwood French windows on the facade reflecting Turkish neo-classical design. The building was built as a bastille in 1910, and its Byzantine mosaic tiles and terracotta arches reflect the design of the last stages of the Ottman Empire. Each bathroom has a Turkish Kilim (rug) all of which are hand woven and add a delightfully authentic Ottoman touch.
