This new hotel is the work of architect Francisco Aires Mateus and designer Nina Andrade Silva.The location is adjacent to Saldanha Square with a great view of the park and the old city. The hotel has 139 rooms, all of which are decorated in a stark and contemporary style. What it lacks in amenities (there is no health club or pool) it makes up for in efficient good service and reasonable rates. There is a Japanese restaurant on premises (Bonsai) as well as another (Saldanha) serving traditional Portuguese food. There are two bars, one of which is roof top with great views. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport and same distance from other major attractions. It is also conveniently located 25 km from Estoril, Cascais and Sintra.
