The 'Great Room', as such spaces are termed in castles, is a double-height lounge with steps to the open-plan dining room and through to a superbly equipped galley kitchen. Large, deep and highly comfortable settees, ottomans and low tables make this the place to take afternoon tea or a drink - to relax in front of the glow and crackle of the roaring fire.

After a day on the slopes, Villazzo staff takes care of your après-ski needs so that you can just chill-out in the warmth. Terraces to the front of the villa provide shelter for dining and the outdoor Jacuzzi is a sublime sensation - cocooned in hot, bubbling water, gaze through the birch trees to the snowy fields. The gabled master suite includes a king-size bed, king-size fireplace, a sitting room with views of Aspen Mountain and a large Jacuzzi.
