Hosok tere (Heroes' Square)

At the entrance of City Park lies one of the great historical sites of Hungary. Once a host to the Socialist celebrations, Heroes’ Square has endured revolutions and reconstruction. On a trip here, be sure to check out the Magyar tribal leader statues, which were reconstructed in 1996 for the 1,100th year anniversary of the Magyar Conquest. Heroes’ Square is also close to the Museum of Fine Arts and Exhibition Hall.
